John J. Dresch

John has extensive experience in various areas of patent preparation, prosecution, and appeals in the mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical fields, such as domestic household appliances, solar energy systems, medical devices, electric motors, data transmission and storage, optical transmission and communication, computer hardware, displays, printers, semiconductor lasers, light emitting devices, automotive components, among others.

John has drafted and prosecuted patent applications for various major corporations, both domestic and international, and has extensive experience working directly with corporate in-house patent counsel to provide comprehensive patent preparation and prosecution services and IP support, including in-person visits to corporate, manufacturing, and design facilities to meet and coordinate with in-house IP counsel, inventors, and engineers.  He also has extensive experience conducting in-person interviews with Examiners and Supervisors at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

John also has experience in advising start-up companies, small companies, and individual inventors on establishing, developing, and managing their U.S. and foreign patent and trademark portfolios.
